Ladies Aid
Ladies Aid is a multi-generational ministry of Rock Branch Church that was started many years ago by 10 women of the church. Monthly meetings were held in homes, at which they had refreshments and a devotion while sharing their hearts with each other.
Today that ministry continues to meet monthly; however, we now meet in the activities building of Rock Branch Church. (Occasionally we will take our meeting to the home of a shut in.)
We have two options to meet: 1) We meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 12 noon. 2) For those who can’t come during the day, we meet again on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 7pm. Each meeting is hosted by a different member of the Ladies Aid.
Over the years, the Ladies Aid has ministered in various ways: from sympathy meals for those members experiencing a family loss, to fund raising for special ministry needs within the church.
Choir
Besides leading worship in each of our Sunday services, the adult choir is very active during holidays, revivals, and other special occasions. Currently they rehearse on Sunday evenings at 5:30 just before our evening service. If you have ever sung in, or have always wanted to sing in a choir, please be sure to meet our Choir Director, Terri McCormick.
Handbells
A small, dedicated group of musicians, the handbell choir, under the direction of Kim Sigman, brings beautiful instrumental music to many of our special services. They’re always on the lookout for new ringers, of any experience level.
Drama
Though there is not currently a standing drama troupe, drama has always played a large role in the outreach ministry of the church. Everyone from children to senior adults get involved in annual productions such as our drive-thru Bethlehem Village & Live Nativity.
Men’s Prayer Breakfast
A group of Christian men that meet every month on the 3rd Saturday morning for a “completely healthy” old-fashioned breakfast, a challenging devotion from a guest speaker, and some godly fellowship. Anyone can come be a part.
Youth Music and Drama
From children’s choir and youth ensemble, to acting and puppetry, the young people at Rock Branch are always encouraged to use whatever gift they have to influence lives with the Gospel and lead others in praise. Good News Club
In 2008, a wonderful opportunity opened up allowing Rock Branch to partner with Child Evangelism Fellowship in taking the Gospel into public schools. Two days each month, right after school, a group of volunteers from Rock Branch converge on Rock Branch Elementary and present an hour and a half long program geared toward leading kids to a personal, growing relationship with Christ. Missions
Rock Branch has always offered a tremendous amount of financial and prayer support to missionaries across this country and around the world. Perhaps even more importantly, Rock Branch has become a church that participates annually in a number of different mission trips, be they in our own backyard or across many borders.
